Jessica is the Central Policy Director at Nexamp. In this role she leads Nexamp’s policy and regulatory affairs work in the Midwest and down to Texas. She works collaboratively with internal and external teams to expand access to renewable energy. In this role she is responsible for analyzing, communicating, and advancing a portfolio of state and regional policy issues impacting Nexamp’s solar and storage development efforts.
Prior to Nexamp, Jessica worked as the Union of Concerned Scientists as their Senior Policy Analyst & Midwest Lead. In this role she directed the Midwest Office’s strategic planning and implemented priority campaigns.
Prior to UCS she worked at the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) as their Senior Policy Associate. She tracked and analyzed energy legislation, worked to establish strong energy efficiency standards and policies within the Midwest region, and directed many of MEEA’s policy outreach campaigns.
Jessica has a BA from the University of Florida and a Master of Public Administration for the University of Illinois Chicago. She serves as the Treasurer of the Illinois Environmental Council Board.
