Elizabeth Doris has 15 years of experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy policy and program design, development, implementation, and evaluation. She has over 50 published works ranging from understanding the impacts of policies on energy and economic development in different geographical and political contexts to strategies for evaluating and revising policy designs during implementation. She manages State, Local, and Tribal programs for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, working both on the research side developing methodologies for evaluating policy effectiveness as well on deployment side working directly with states and localities to implement policies that meet their clean energy goals. Mrs. Doris has received awards from the US Department of Energy for her work on clean energy policy development and implementation in the City of New Orleans, and from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory for her work on understanding clean energy policies in cities and states. Prior to joining NREL in Golden, Colorado in 2005, she worked with the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy in Washington, DC. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Science from Boston University and a Master of Science in Environmental Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
